With the new Open-Frame TFT display-series from CarTFT you get back control : The ruggedized metal frame enables you a stable installation. The single modules (Mainboard, Touchscreen controller, Power inverter and button-frame) can be screwed off from the rear side and beeing positionated elsewhere. This way you can install the connector cables more easier and the display thickness shrinks also.
Note : This Open-Frame TFT display is an offer primarily meant for business and project customers. End consumers should only handle with unprotected electronic parts with appropriate experience.

It has a good quality/price ratio for open frame monitors. One of the best touch-control, with good sensitivity. Easy to install but because of this you will lose warranty (this is way I took a star down) you must think very carefully where and how to arrange all the modules.

Die Verarbeitung des Displays ist tadellos. Die Funktionen gut durchdacht, so gibt es einen Lichtsensor, der eine automatische Helligkeitsregulierung ermöglicht. Vom Maß her könnte es aber noch ein wenig mehr sein. Ansonsten bietet es auch bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ein gut ablesbares Bild.
Der Preis ist leider ein wenig zu hoch.

Display hat eine gut lesbare Auflösung, lässt sich auch bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung noch verhältnismässig gut ablesen. Die automatische Helligkeitsanpassung ist eins der Highlights, das Display lässt sich nach einmaligem Einrichten ohne Probleme OHNE das Tastenpanel benutzen. Die Montage der Platinen und die Befestigung des Displays an sich finde ich ziemlich wackelig, die Kabel sind relativ kurz gehalten. Der Display-Rahmen könnte symmetrisch ausfallen, das würde dem Gesamtbild zu Gute kommen, ansonsten ist das Display trotz des hohen Preises empfehlenswert.

Ich hatte diesen Monitor bereits mit Gehäuse verbaut und war super begeistert von der TOuchscreeneigenschaft. Sowohl die Bedienung mit der Hand, als auch die Bedienung mit Stift war einzigartig genau! Ich werde mir nun diesen Monitor nun als OpenFrame holen, da ich denke, dass die Qualität ähnlich sein wird!
